Tables, graphs, and units
Read labels and scales before comparing values. Track the conditions attached to each result, distinguish a trend from one measurement, and be careful when extending a pattern beyond the data.
ACT Science prep guide
ACT Science preparation combines interpreting scientific information with evaluating how an investigation works. Practice navigating tables, graphs, experiments, and competing explanations instead of rushing to memorize every unfamiliar term.
Choose a starting routine ↓Read labels and scales before comparing values. Track the conditions attached to each result, distinguish a trend from one measurement, and be careful when extending a pattern beyond the data.
Identify what was changed, what was measured, and what was kept consistent. Ask whether a proposed comparison can answer the research question and what an additional trial would test.
Compare the predictions made by different explanations. Look for a result that supports or challenges a claim, and keep a scientist’s interpretation separate from the observation itself.

Start with understanding. Add timing when you can explain your choices.

After checking a Science answer, ask Theo to unpack a graph, explain a comparison, or clarify why the evidence supports one option. Theo’s AI explanation should be checked against the passage and its data.
Meet Theo →Our Science materials use original teaching passages and simulated data. This is a growing skill pathway, not official ACT content or a replacement for a school science course. Check your test registration and requirements when deciding whether to take Science.

No. Graphs and tables are one part. Practice also includes experimental design, comparing explanations, and applying relevant scientific concepts to the evidence.
Timed practice withholds explanations until submission. Use regular practice or guided examples when you want to learn with feedback along the way.
